EID MUBARAK!
Eid Mubarak all!
Hope you all had a wonderful day.Taqabbal Allahu Minna wa minkum(Allah accept good deeds from us all Inshallah)
Feeling very "hungover" this morning after yesterdays festivities. Alhamdulillah Eid day was a mixture of much eating laughter and catching up with the family.
This morning I woke up quite early and everything felt a little strange. (this may have been because I had only a few hours sleep and couldn't remember if I was fasting- to brush teeth or not?!)
Am I alone in "limbo" the day after Eid?! ("yes, Faatima it's only you "I can hear many of you say)
Ramadhan has gone! The sleeping patterns and eating habits have all changed overnight. In Ramadhan the atmosphere is amazing! Once it's over you can feel that the soul of Ramadhan has left...Eid day is also over and really makes me quite sad. Can we make every day like Ramadhan?! Inshallah, if we try hard-we can! We may not be able to match the spirituality one feels during the month; Taraaweeh, suhoor and Iftaar; but our Ibaadah doesn't need to stop.
As with all things, we have a choice- options. We can actively choose to try and do as much Ibaadah as we can, outside of Ramadhan, as we do inside of it. Or on the other hand, we can choose to take the back seat for a while. Relax for a few days..
Remember that while we have a little break-Shaytaan is working overtime! Shaytaan has ALOT of catching up to do! Before you know it we're back to our old habits and the months are passing by & all the training we did throughout Ramadhan is gone!
Do footballers train every day, just to be good in the training ground only?!
This is The Big Game- you're playing against your opponents(not any old opponent-this is The Enemy) and they're going to be running at you from all sides- defending, tackling, tricking and fouling! You need to keep your eye on the ball and not forget your goal in life!
Remember Shaytaan has made a promise and wants to drag us down!
Ramadhan should bring us back to Allah- let us remember our maker and creator and Inshallah let us not be led astray by Shaytaan.
faatima
(This time we should be striving for an 8-0 ;) )
