Feels

So when I started this many moons ago, it was a place where I could just share random thoughts with the world. (The one or two of you reading, you are my world😉) Most of it was probably a load of nonsense (can ignore the word probably-it most definitely is nonsense).Anyway- for a long time - life just happened.Days just passing by and I slowly found myself not wanting to share as much anymore. Or so much was happening that there was actually too much to share. Marrakesh Day 4

The next places on our list of places to go were Asni, Imlil and Lalla Takerkoust lake. Situated in the foothills of the Atlas mountains, these quiet towns have a lot to offer for those looking for something slightly off road, a little different. They have a souk for those wishing to shop and pick up a bargain. Busy markets and bargaining with locals can be overwhelming  and most things can be found in Marrakesh, so I didn't really venture to the souk. ( yes. you heard that right I missed a shopping opportunity). Imlil is not very far from Asni, thi...

On our third day in Marrakesh, we decided to visit the old palaces, as well as making a trip to Ourika Valley. Bahiyya and Badi Palace were all within walking distance from our Riad. The weather was good, so after breakfast, we set off. Bahia Palace Inside Bahia Palace Courtyard inside Bahia Palace Orange trees in the courtyard Loved the architecture. Blue skies Ruins of Badi Palace Inside, contained many old Islamic artefacts, including one of the oldest Mimbars, however, no photography was allowed inside Badi  Palace The Palaces were interesting to see if you aren't one for shopping in the souqs all day. For those who do want to shop, there are an endless amount of shops with everything you can think of. We managed to visit both palaces before lunch and had enough time to have a short rest before leaving for Ourika. Salaah break ...
