MarrakeshDay 3
Bahiyya and Badi Palace were all within walking distance from our Riad. The weather was good, so after breakfast, we set off.

The Palaces were interesting to see if you aren't one for shopping in the souqs all day. For those who do want to shop, there are an endless amount of shops with everything you can think of. We managed to visit both palaces before lunch and had enough time to have a short rest before leaving for Ourika.

We were collected from our riad around 2 pm and within a short while we left the busy condensed area of the Madina behind us. For those who like the outdoors and trekking, I would highly advise going to Ourika Valley. You get your dose of fresh air and the views are worth the journey.
We had a young guide called Hussain, who broke the news to us that we would be climbing 16000 feet. Bear in mind, there is no safety equipment or railing whatsoever. Our guide was very patient whilst we struggled up panting for breath. He, on the other hand, was like a mountain goat, skipping up from one waterfall to the next.

| This rickety bridge was followed by a rickety ladder, at this point I was too focused on keeping my life than taking pictures. |
Once we made it down in one piece we had our meal on this water side restaurant.(some of the tables were in the river😏 We had a lovely tagine. I, unfortunately, managed to attract stray cats who sat and watched our every move, during the meal. ( Lesson learned, never make eye contact or attempt to play with a stray cat again).
Later on, on our way back to our Riad we stopped for Maghrib at an old masjid.
A very old Masjid.
My view from the ladies section. I was the only one upstairs (it was very dark upstairs) and not going to lie I was getting the creeps.(hence the blurry picture before I legged it out)
A very old Masjid.
We finished the evening at Jma el Fna square and then did a little shopping in the souq before heading back to our riad.
Until next time
Faatima
